Mirek Pyschny kommt aus Kattowitz (Polen). Dort bekam er mit 6 Jahren Klavier- und Geigenunterricht. Mit 11 fing er an Schlagzeug zu lernen und ein Jahr später siedelte er mit seiner Familie nach Deutschland um.
Mirek studierte Jazz Schlagzeug in Köln bei Prof. Keith Copeland, war Mitglied des Landesjugendjazzorchesters NRW und verbrachte nach dem Studium eine längere Zeit in New York.
Er war 10 Jahre lang Mitglied der Kölner Weltmusik Formation: “Schäl Sick Brass Band” mit vielen Auslands – Tourneen (Sudan, Eritrea, Japan, Taiwan usw.) und trat in ganz Europa mit dem kanadischen Blues – Award Gewinner Paul Reddick auf.
Ebenso arbeitete er mit den Hip-Hop Künstlern: Samy Deluxe, Roger Reckless sowie Akua Naru zusammen.
Zur Zeit lebt Mirek in Köln, spielt in verschiedenen Formationen im In- und Ausland und arbeitet seit 2011 als Dozent für Schlagzeug an der Musikhochschule Köln/Wuppertal. Anfang des Jahres 2014 bekam er einen Lehrauftrag für Schlagzeug und Percussion an der Bergischen Universität in Wuppertal.

Mirek Pyschny comes from Katowice (Poland). There he got piano and violin lessons at the age of 6. At the age of 11 he started learning drums and a year later he moved with his family to Germany.
Mirek studied jazz drums in Cologne with Prof. Keith Copeland, was a member of the Landesjugendjazzorchester NRW and spent a long time in New York after his studies.
For 10 years he was a member of the Cologne world music formation: „Schäl Sick Brass Band“ with many tours (Sudan, Eritrea, Japan, Taiwan etc.) and performed all over Europe with the Canadian Blues – Award winner Paul Reddick.
